WANACON 2025
With great pleasure, the Animal Nutrition Association (ANA) invites you to its II World Conference on the theme ‘Newer Vistas to Animal Nutrition Research Towards Climate Resilient Animal Production for Livelihood, Food and Nutritional Security’ being held at Nagpur during January 20-22, 2025.
The global phenomenon of ‘Climate Change’ is a pressing concern posing significant challenges to the vulnerable livestock sector. By prioritizing nutrition under climate change scenarios, we can build productive, sustainable and resilient animal production systems that benefit both animals and the environment. Nutrition plays a crucial role in the health and wellbeing of animals and as a part of animal agriculture contributes to food and nutritional security. Thus, it is imperative to deliberate on research priorities for linking animal nutrition with Sustainable Development Goals and ‘One Health’.
The WANACON 2025 is foreseen to provide updated information towards capacity building relevant to the theme. It is envisaged that experts across the world’s renowned Institutes will be presenting their research findings apprising the developments in the field. Looking into the diversified agro-ecosystems of India, experts from various parts of the country, ICAR Institutes as well as State Animal, Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences Universities will be invited to present their research findings. These proceedings will provide a common platform for the scientists, faculty, research scholars, animal husbandry officials and industry personnel to
understand the subject through a series of theme talks, plenary lectures, technical sessions and round tables, and be prepared for climate-resilient livestock production.
A special attraction is a Feed Tech Expo which will be a standout event in the conference. The Feed Tech Expo will showcase different
feed technologies, advanced laboratory analytical instruments, and the feed-food products of leading multinationals and prospective
regional industries in the cattle, poultry, pet, and fish sectors.
